I have run across the best deal for a broadband phone. It is called ViaTalk.

 

I know you've heard of Vonage, voip, skype, or broadband, or internet phone. That's what this is. It is a phone service that goes through your broadband internet service. It has a ton of features that can help the sales staff like call forwarding, voicemail, call waiting, caller id... for cheap! I got the unlimited plan for $199 per year and they gave me a free year to boot! $8.29 per month for 2 lines, unlimited local and long distance calls to US and Canada! And I got to keep my own phone #. Beat that Vonage.

 

I paid $199 one time and won't have a phone bill for 2 years! I dropped my local phone and am saving a ton of cash. My home phone was always over $100 per month and I wasn't using it that much. That's $2400 over two years! Ouch! This is a no brainer...$2400 or $200?

 

This is a very powerful tool for taking control of your leads. Stop telling your customers to call the dealership and take the chance of someone else getting to them if you can't get to the phone. Hand them your card with your OWN contact information on it and rest assured that even if you can't take the call you will keep the customer. You have a control panel online that you can change where your calls ring. For example, if you are at the dealership you can forward calls to your desk, or to your cell phone... If you are some place that you can't take calls or don't want to take calls you can let it go to your voicemail.

ViaTalk packages start at as low as $9.95 and the costliest package is priced at $35.95. The cost factor being their primary USP, the Via Talk team also focuses on customer service, which is often the prime reason of discontentment for most VOIP customers.

Features:

ViaTalk offers all the standard features of any VOIP service in their standard packages. Though their features are not something to be overwhelmed with but they cover all the features that are required in day-to-day use. Besides the basic features like call forwarding, voicemail, Caller ID with name etc ViaTalk also offers some special features in lieu of a minimal charges.

Virtual Phone Number:

A virtual phone number allows the customer to have a 2 nd phone number from the same or different are code to ring to the same line as the main line. This allows the customers to receive calls from people outside their local calling area with the caller paying only for a local call. ViaTalk charges $3.95/month for a virtual number.

Soft Phone:

ViaTalk also offers its customers the facility of using a SoftPhone that requires the customer to download a program and they can easily make and receive calls from their computer or laptop.

Toll Free Plus:

ViaTalk offers Toll Free numbers to both its residential and business customers. They charge an additional $4.95/month for the toll free number and the user pays 5 cents/minute for all incoming calls.

Fax Service:

ViaTalk also offers fax line for $1.95/month

411 Directory Service:

ViaTalk allows its customers to use the 411 service by means of which they can get information for any listed business or home address in the USA or Canada. This service is pre configured in all ViaTalk accounts. A charge of $0.95 is applicable per 411 calls.

General Features:

Other than the above-mentioned paid features ViaTalk also offers several other general features as a part of their standard packages. This list of features would include, Enhanced Voicemail, Three-way calling, Call Forwarding, Call waiting, caller id with name, call return, e911 Support, Operator Services and many more.

Plans Offered:

ViaTalk justifiably claims itself as one of the most cost effective VOIP service provider. They provide four plans the lowest being marked at $9.95/month while the costliest is for $35.95/month

VT_500 Plan:

VT_500 plan offers 500 anytime minutes for calling to USA and Canada for just $9.95/month. Any extra minutes will be billed at 3.5cents/minute. This plan can be subscribed for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and 24 months package. $9.95/month being the lowest rate offered only for a 24-month package, subscribing to this plan for just 1 month would cost $14.95/month.

VT Unlimited Plan:

VT Unlimited plan is the bet plan for talking. Priced at $15.95/month for a 24 months package this plan offers unlimited calls to U.S. and Canada. The price for this plan also varies depending on the term commitment. While the 24 months package offers the lowest monthly charge, subscribing to this plan for 1 month would cost $22.95.

VT Business 1500 Plan:

This is an ideal option for small business. It offers 1500 anytime minutes for calls within USA and Canada and also includes a Fax line. The lowest price available on this plan is for the 24 months package at $29.95/month while the 1-month subscription would cost $34.95. Any extra usage beyond 1500 minutes would cost 3.5cents/minute.

VT Business Unlimited:

This business plan offers unlimited calling within USA and Canada along with a free fax line. Similar to all the other plans this is also available in 5 different packages starting with $42.95 for a 1-month subscription and the lowest being $35.95/month offered on a 24 months subscription.

Customer Service:

ViaTalk prides itself on providing wonderful customer service and claims customer service as one of their top priorities. They provide customer support on phone from 8.00am- to 12.00midnight EST and they have 24x7 email support. Reports from customers, stands for the fact that the customer support agents are easier to reach compared to the other VOIP service providers and they are pretty much helpful though not very courteous. The customer support center is located at New York unlike many other providers who have outsourced their customer service.

Other Details:

There is an additional one-time activation fee of $29.95 applicable over above the monthly charges. However, this is waived off for customers subscribing to 12 months or 24 months packages.

In case of cancellation, ViaTalk charges a cancellation fee which depends on the package to which the customer has subscribed and the time period for which he has used the services. The balance amount is refunded to customers after deduction of the cancellation fee.
